I started this journey with the intention of making public everything I was doing by writing it here. Truth is, I've been absent for a while. A LONG while. So, here is an update...
Its been an incredibly busy couple months. We bought our first house and moved in! (still in progress!) With everything going on, I just wasn't able to devote the energy I needed/deserved towards working on my weight loss. Instead I focused on eating healthy most of the time and not completely scolding myself when I couldn't eat perfectly. I let myself enjoy those moments and then moved on. I haven't kept up with my weight loss perfectly, but I have managed to maintain.
Now that we're in our new home... I feel more in control of my own destiny, if you will. Starting with grocery shopping. Whatever I buy, will end up in my mouth. So, junk is not an option. I'm trying new recipes and making delicious salads. I'm also back to tracking my calories on my phone via "My Fitness Pal" app. Visually seeing the calories count up and down helps me a lot.
THAT time of year is coming again! Holidays! Oh how I love them so! I swear I feel like a child all month long. I can never get enough Christmas music, parties and decorating! I'm so excited about Christmas in our new house. Emma Kate will finally be more fun with Santa and presents and Maddox is going to love staring at the lights! There is always tons of food and yummy treats a plenty. My plan is not to gain anything this year. Instead I want to continue with my plan to lose weight.
I've also started taking my kids on more stroller walks. We have a new neighborhood to explore. They love it and I need the exercise. I'm also trying to learn how to run. I know I know... that sounds silly, doesn't it? Let me re-phrase.... I'm trying to learn how to run without killing myself in the process. Any advice would be appreciated!
