I decided to try something new today. See, I have this little voice that calls me at the end of the day, after my kitchen should be closed.... it wants sweets. and will not go away quietly. Its hard to resist... But I think I (may) have found a happy solution! If you can't beat it, give in and figure out a way to make it work for you instead of against you...
That's right, y'all!.... old-school/make your own Popsicle trays! I filled the bottom layer with greek yogurt and then mixed different fresh fruit- raspberries, strawberries, pineapple, some with more yogurt and others with coconut milk to fill it all in.... (i.e. No idea what I was doing, just trying to vary my pops so I could get an idea of how to improve next time, should this time be a bust) ....... could be a fun weekly activity to do with the kids for summer time too... win win.
*grin* ahem...excuse me while I toot my own horn. :) woo!
I enjoyed it so much I had 2... I know that wasn't the point at making individual servings, but I don't feel a bit guilty. That's the beauty of it :) I'd give my attempt a 10, but my execution needs a little help lol I think I need to blend it all with my magic bullet and THEN freeze it (like a smoothie maybe?) The textures and melting points were all off... but still tasty.
New icy treats and slight gloating aside....I'm still reading Bob Harper's Skinny Rules book. (2 kids, housework, endless laundry, cooking, errands.... it could take a while! lol) I'm really loving it so far, though. Its really great to see that, after soooooooo many years, I can still learn new things about weight loss and be inspired to keep moving, keep changing and never lose sight of my ultimate goal = a happy spirit. a healthy body and weight loss. (and yes, in that order, too) Goodnight, my friends.
